IN KINGS AND FOOLS gets a Director!

I've been fortunate to be chosen to direct the staged reading of IN KINGS AND FOOLS, by Kevin Daly, a drama about a blue-collar New England family and their neighborhood, set just before the tragedy of 9/11. Derek Long featured in CURTAINS UP review

Long was a particular standout for his funny turn as a man trying to unload hundreds of household products he has accumulated, in addition to a more serious scene in which Long plays a gay man anxious to sell the mattress shared by him and his recently unfaithful partner.

Derek Long

A great actor is generous. They're in tune with themselves physically and emotionally. They come to terms with nerves, and work with it. They are present on stage, and they give themselves completely to the other actors, who are able to give back to them. There is give and take. The story is told, and there is total connection with the audience.
